Bi-coastal boutique Bodega put forth one of the year’s biggest surprise hits when they dropped their collaborative New Balance 997S “No Days Off” back in April, new balance 574 classic and now they’re revisiting the sporty silhouette once again, as they’ve readied a “No Bad Days” makeup.
Crafted for everyday wear and conceptualized around the power of a positive mindset, this modernized version of the New Balance 997 features a bold color scheme that blends classic white mesh and supple grey leather/shaggy grey suede with a dimpled teal neoprene collar, black heel, and plentiful pops of yellow, purple, blue, and red. There’s meaning behind the material and consequence under the colors as well, with the construction aiming to present a fresh and new balance 574 grey refined face, but also show the “results” of its work.
This exact ethos is why the suede and leather overlays offer an inverted placement from the aforementioned “No Days Off.” Down below, ABZORB and ENCAP cushioning technologies ensure that the comfort is just as ready for a seven-day workweek as the style is. new balance 247 womens Special insoles and a three pack of laces complete the look.
The Bodega x New Balance 997S No Bad Days finally has some release info. Unveiled back in May inside Bodega’s Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook, this latest collab between both brands has the 997S dressed in a Dark Grey upper contrasted by the Light Blue trim on the heel, Bright Yellow “N” branding, and Red embroidered branding. The sole comes equipped with new balance 580 womens ABZORB and ENCAP cushioned tech.
